The historical picturesque little town of Dunster, with its Castle brooding on the hilltop, is also but a few miles distant. Everywhere there are quaint Exmoor villages with their thatched cottages, century old churches, pack horse bridges, and cream teas.
The farm is a walkers paradise where the car can be forgotten with numerous walks leadings into the woods and onto the moors where red deer and all kinds of wildlife can be seen. There is plenty to entertain the younger members of the family too from the thrill of the pony rides to playing in the stream and exploring in the woods.
